Greater Portland Flute Society: First Tuesdays

Every first Tuesday of the month, Greater Portland Flute Society (GPFS) features a performance or a workshop with a focus on the flute and other music topics of interest to members. This month, GPFS features and celebrate the talents of Deena T. Grossman, who will present five pieces for flute:

  • Waterways for two flutes, viola and cello

  • Snowy Egret, January Messenger for flute solo

  • Island of the Spirit for flute solo

  • Apart together; Together apart for flute quartet

  • The Circular Bridge for piccolo, two alto flutes, two C flutes and bass flute, or any grouping of six flutes

Special guest flutist Camila Oliveira will speak about recording Grossman’s flute solos.

All participants will receive the pdf score for Grossman’s new composition: The Circular Bridge.
