    Lush chamber writing traces the flow of Columbia River tributaries to the point at which the largest river entering the Pacific Ocean in the western hemisphere meets the broadest reach of open ocean in the world. “Flutists will want to listen to and likely learn and perform this piece because of its interesting, colorful and evocative compositional nature as well as for what it represents – nature and the protection of nature.” (National Flute Association Quarterly)

    Wildfires

    Solo Piano

    A “must listen” (Flutist Quarterly) musical elegy to the catastrophic summer of 2018 during which wildfires tore through the Western United States and Canada following years of drought, the work especially commemorates the town of Paradise, California in which 83 people perished. Comprising three movements – Paradise Burning, Firestorm, Embers – this is an urgent and wild message about climate change in response to government inaction.
